A San Angelo man is facing serious charges after being indicted on multiple counts of producing child pornography and cyberstalking. Juelz Sincere Armstead, 21, has been charged with various crimes involving minors and adults. As announced by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Texas, Armstead was arraigned this past Wednesday and will remain in custody.
The superseding indictment alleges that from August 2021, Armstead managed to persuade at least seven minors to perform sexually explicit acts, creating visual records of such conduct. On a chilling note, the indictment records that the accused attempted to produce similar content with two additional minors on February 26. Utilizing the imagery he procured, Armstead reportedly subjected his victims to harassment and intimidation that resulted in significant emotional distress for them.
An indictment is just an accusation, not proof of guilt. Several law enforcement agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, and the San Angelo Police Department, are working on the case against Armstead and Assistant U.S. Attorney Callie Woolam, who is leading the prosecution.
