Residents in San Antonio should prepare to keep umbrellas at hand and raincoats at the ready, as forecasters at the National Weather Service predict a stormy week ahead. The city is looking to ride out a series of showers and thunderstorms, while temperatures are expected to hover near the mid-80s to low 90s. According to the latest update from the National Weather Service, there's an 80% chance of precipitation today with "new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible."

Wednesday then brings a reduced 30 percent chance of more wet weather, primarily after 10 am, with a forecasted high around a cozy 90 degrees.
The pattern of intermingling sun and storms is set to stay constant for the remainder of the week. The wind is expected to maintain its pace with northeasterly gusts reaching up to 20 mph and temperatures peaking near 91 degrees.
Heading towards the weekend, the threat of thunderstorms diminishes before 7 pm on Thursday, making way for a partly cloudy night with a low around 75.
