San Antonio Crime Stoppers is actively seeking the public's assistance to apprehend Adiah Namir Roberson, the suspect accused of fatally shooting Sonic Drive-In manager Daniel Shrewsbury in a July incident. The shooting took place at the franchise located near Babcock Road and Huebner Road on July 7, with Roberson identified as the suspect after authorities received numerous community tips, as reported by KENS 5.

Joshua Albert Joseph, considered the driver of the vehicle on the night of the murder, has been arrested and charged with murder. His capture by the US Marshals Service was detailed in KSAT. Joseph confessed to not knowing Roberson well, stating that he was simply providing rides to earn extra money, "Don't give nobody rides cause it's just gonna mess your family up," Joseph said. "I apologize for the actions of somebody that happened to be with me and none of that shouldn't have happened the way it happened," according to KENS 5.

The San Antonio Police Department stated that on the night of the incident, Joseph, Roberson, and a third woman who is currently only considered a witness, attempted to use counterfeit money to pay for food at the Sonic Drive-In. The manager, Shrewsbury, who was 33, noticed the counterfeit bills, resulting in the trio ultimately using legitimate currency. However, after taking some money from a cup at the eatery, Shrewsbury was shot following a dispute that escalated after he photographed the vehicle's license plate. KSAT shared this chain of events as per a statement by police spokeswoman Ximena Alvarez.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Roberson. Anyone with knowledge regarding Roberson's location should contact Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867. Meanwhile, Joseph's criminal background in Bexar County includes previous charges of felon in possession of a gun, felony marijuana, aggravated robbery, and unlawful carrying of a weapon, as detailed both by KSAT and KENS 5.
