The San Antonio community mourns the loss of 41-year-old Mike Morris who perished in a tragic vehicular incident last week. According to both FOX San Antonio and News 4 San Antonio, Morris was involved in a rollover accident that resulted in fatal injuries.
The incident took place on the Northwest Side, at the intersection of West Woodlawn Avenue and Vollum Boulevard, close to 11 p.m. on a Tuesday. As the Medical Examiner's Office has identified, the driver who failed to notice a stop sign was Morris, causing his pickup to collide with another vehicle, as per situation described by the local authorities.
After the initial collision, the truck rolled, ejecting Morris before landing on him. Despite efforts by firefighters to lift the vehicle and administer emergency medical attention, "the 41-year-old man died at the scene," a statement obtained by FOX San Antonio vividly describes.
The second party involved, the driver of the car struck by Morris's truck, was reported to have escaped serious injury. Police investigations into the exact causes of the accident are still ongoing, with local traffic authorities reminding the public of the paramount importance of adhering to traffic signals for safety.
