On Wednesday, the San Francisco Police Department, following up on a tip, executed a search warrant at a makeshift casino hidden within a residence on the 12000 block of Cayuga Avenue.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, SFPD officers made multiple attempts to coax anyone inside the house to exit peacefully before storming the site. After making several announcements, the police officers entered the dwelling and were able to detain numerous individuals on-site without any trouble. Search efforts within the premises led to the retrieval of incriminating evidence, such as ten gambling machines, multiple money dispensers, and substances believed to be methamphetamine.
Alongside gambling paraphernalia, officers confiscated over $2,700 in cash. Further investigation by the officers resulted in the probable cause of the arrest of three adults. They are facing charges linked to the operation of an illegal gambling parlor, narcotics distribution, and other outstanding legal warrants. Authorities have not disclosed the names of the suspects.
The San Francisco Police Department continues its probe into the illegal operation and urges the public to come forward with any pertinent information that could aid the case. Those with knowledge can confidentially contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or send an anonymous tip via text to TIP411, beginning their message with "SFPD".
