
Just after midnight, fire and police units responded to a blaze near Bellam Boulevard and Andersen Drive. According to the San Rafael Police Department, multiple 9-1-1 calls led authorities to a large dumpster fire threatening an adjacent building and several vehicles.

The San Rafael Fire Department (SRFD), with assistance from SRPD officers, contained the fire swiftly. While fire teams combated the flames, law enforcement officers shut Bellam Boulevard to traffic and secured the surrounding area. Their efforts ensured that the fire did not escalate beyond the immediate vicinity of the dumpster.
Officials are currently looking into what may have caused the fire. There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
