The National Weather Service in Seattle has forecasted a week replete with overcast skies and scattered rain showers for the region. In an early morning update, the agency detailed a mix of weather conditions, starting with a possibility of rain before 8 a.m. today, turning to partially sunny skies later with a high near 67 degrees. As the afternoon approaches, Seattleites might experience a southeast wind around 6 mph transitioning to northwest.
An incoming front could dampen plans tonight, with a 40 percent chance of rain after 2 a.m. and low temperatures hovering around 56 degrees. Thursday and Friday carry similar unsettled patterns, with a calm wind becoming south after midday and high temperatures peaking in the upper 60s. The National Weather Service update also mentioned that humidity is currently at 87 percent, a typical marker of the atmospheric soup that ushers in Pacific Northwest drizzles.
The latter half of the week does little to dispel the looming clouds, as Saturday brings a 60 percent likelihood of rain after 11 a.m., followed by more precipitation likely through the night. Sunday continues the trend, with rain probable in the afternoon and a high around 65 degrees. Those looking for respite will find little comfort in the week's end, as chances of rain spill into both Monday and Tuesday.
