Shinsung, established back in 1974, is known for its specialized products like automotive sealant and, will act as a primary supplier for Hyundai Motor Group along with the Metaplant in Bryan County. In the words of Shinsung’s COO, Chan Woo Park said during a visit to Lyons, "We look forward to joining Georgia's network of automotive suppliers, providing adhesive and sealant solutions for manufacturers nearby." The new manufacturing setup, located at 1407 Highway 1 North in Lyons, is projected to be completed by 2025, as per the announcement by the Office of the Governor.

Local authorities expressed their enthusiasm about the economic ripple effects of Shinsung's arrival. Tim Truxel, Chair of the Toombs County Development Authority, cited the development as a capstone in the transformation of Toombs Corporate Center at U.S. Highway 1 in Lyons. "Congratulations to Toombs County, the State of Georgia, and Shinsung Petrochemical, Inc., for this exciting opportunity," he mentioned in a statement obtained by the Office of the Governor. Meanwhile, Lyons Mayor Willis NeSmith sees the investment as a testament to the community's efforts in making the locale a premier industrial park.

With support from the Georgia Department of Economic Development's (GDEcD) Global Commerce team, Shinsung's decision underscores a larger pattern of committed partnerships working to bolster the economy. Commissioner Pat Wilson shared a broad perspective, "The last few years have been historic for Georgia in many ways, with generational investments in automotive and other key industries creating hope and opportunities for Georgians across the state," according to the press release from the Governor's office. Since 2018, Georgia has drawn over 36,000 new jobs alongside more than $28 billion in investments in sectors that include e-mobility, clean energy, and battery supplies.
