Community members and authorities are on the lookout for an Oconomowoc man who went missing on Monday. 89-year-old George D. Simos was last seen at his residence at around 11:15 a.m. before he was meant to meet someone in Nashotah, details FOX6 News. The meeting never materialized, and concerns arose when Simos failed to return home.
In an effort to quickly locate the senior, a Silver Alert was issued. Simos has been described as a white male, about 5'9" in height, weighing 175 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last observed wearing a range of identifiable clothing, including a white baseball hat, a light blue short-sleeve shirt, and a black Oconomowoc Golf Club vest, as compiled from information provided by WISN. His attire was complemented with dark blue shorts, black Skechers tennis shoes, and black ankle-length socks.
The last known sighting of Mr. Simos's vehicle, a black 2021 Kia K5, bearing the Wisconsin license plate number AXE7651, was on a camera spotting it northbound on U.S. Highway 12 in Prairie du Sac in Sauk County, around 2:30 p.m. These details further add to an increasing concern for his well-being.
The Oconomowoc Police Department is urging anyone who discovers Simos or has information regarding his whereabouts to immediately reach out by calling 262-567-4403. "If anyone sees him or knows where he is, they are asked to call," echoed the call-to-action provided by WISN.
