Authorities in Washington D.C. have made progress in the case of an armed robbery that took place in the Southeast neighborhood last week. As reported by the Metropolitan Police Department, Dequan Davis, a 31-year-old resident of Southeast, D.C., has been apprehended in connection with the crime.
The incident occurred on the evening of September 16, when an individual was confronted by a suspect wielding a knife in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast. The suspect demanded and obtained the victim's belongings before fleeing from the scene. As per the official MPD announcement, the victim complied with the demands, potentially averting an escalation of violence.
The breakthrough in the case came on Wednesday, September 25, when Davis was taken into custody. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that Davis is now facing charges for Armed Robbery (Knife). Details of the arrest, along with the charges, were released the same day.
