On the evening of last Saturday, a bystander acted quickly upon finding the wounded man at the intersection of Goodfellow and Leonora, taking him to a local hospital for urgent care, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department official release, the police were alerted to the shooting after the victim, who had sustained gunshot injuries, was brought to the emergency room around 5:00 p.m. The good Samaritan, whose quick actions may have saved the victim, told officers he found the man bleeding and saw how serious the situation was.
Law enforcement officers later visited the scene where the victim was found and followed a blood trail back to the 5500 block of Floy.
