Shadyside residents and visitors, take note: a slice of Walnut Street is going off-limits to cars this Friday. The 50th Anniversary Celebration of Maser Galleries is the cause—congrats to them, by the way—and that means you'll need to reroute your usual drive. Specifically, we're talking about the stretch from Copeland Street to Bellefonte Street being a no-go zone from noon to 10 p.m. on September 27th.
Maser Galleries has been a fixed point on Walnut Street for half a century, gracing Pittsburgh with art and culture. Looking to celebrate in style, the gallery is taking over their block with what we can only assume will be aplenty of art enthusiasts and revelers praising, according to a statement reported by The City of Pittsburgh's announcement, a historical milestone in the neighborhood's vibrant scene.
