Residents of Suisun City were thrust into the center of a violent altercation last night when gunfire erupted in the 800 Block of Sunset Avenue. According to the Suisun City Police Department, the shooting took place at around 8:15 PM, and responding officers discovered evidence of the confrontation both inside a local business and in its parking lot.
While the details remained sparse, a gunshot victim, a 23-year-old individual, surfaced at a nearby hospital, wounded seemingly by the violence that earlier unfolded. It was while scoping the area, between strewn shell casings and the echo of shots fired, that detectives went to action, initiating their inquiry into what had transpired.
A shooting took place in a store where the suspect chased the victim, firing multiple shots both inside and outside the building. "The suspect produced a handgun and pursued the victim firing multiple rounds inside and outside of the business," according to the Suisun City Police Department. The suspect, gun in hand, had fled along with the would-be victim.
