A tragedy unfolded in Ellwood City on Thursday evening as a man was fatally shot at the Ellwood City Forge. As reported by WPXI, The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., with the victim succumbing to his injuries inside the industrial facility. The identity of the victim and the circumstances leading up to the shooting have yet to be disclosed by law enforcement.
Soon after the incident, authorities managed to apprehend a suspect. According to the report by WTAE, the arrest took place at an alternate location, specific to Belton Road in North Sewickley Township. This led to a significant police presence in that area, witnessed by the town's inhabitants.
While the police have not released the suspect's identity, they confirmed that the forge was operational and housed an undisclosed number of individuals at the shooting's time.
