The Los Angeles Police Department has made progress in a recent wave of commercial burglaries through an arrest, as reported by LAPD Online. Pedro Fierros, 31, is believed to be connected to a string of crimes that occurred between September 3 and 4, in the Van Nuys and North Hollywood areas. Detectives are continuing their investigation into these incidents, linking Fierros to additional burglaries within the same vicinity.

The chain of burglaries began on September 3, when a business on Victory Blvd in Van Nuys was hit by suspects utilizing a chain and their vehicle to forcibly gain entry, ultimately stealing an ATM machine. The very next day, a champagne-colored Chevy Tahoe—later linked to Fierros—was used in two burglaries on Sherman Way, involving similar tactics and resulting in the theft of unknown property, and various electronic items, respectively.

Officers obtained the suspect vehicle's license plate number, leading them to the residence of the registered owner. Upon trying to serve a search warrant, Fierros attempted to flee in the suspect vehicle but was detained. According to LAPD Online, Fierros has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently booked with Booking #6877872.

Further investigation has uncovered that Fierros was allegedly involved in additional burglaries, with one on August 21 involving the theft of another ATM machine, and another on August 22, leading to similar property damage and loss. Detectives continue to work on these and other potentially related cases, urging anyone with information to contact the LAPD's Van Nuys Burglary Detectives at (818) 374-0029 or through other various reporting options such as Crime Stoppers and the “P-3 Tips” mobile application.
