Chaos unfolded in Eagle Rock on Saturday morning when a silver Nissan Leaf hatchback slammed into a house, leaving three people, including a child, hospitalized in critical condition. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported to the scene on North Avenue 51 near Silverwood Drive shortly before 10:20 a.m. after receiving reports of the crash, according to KTLA.
The extent of damages to the property emerged in the aftermath, with video evidence showing severe front-end damage to the hatchback. The home's front yard was also affected, marking a mangled garbage bin among the remnants of the sudden disruption. First responders worked promptly to extract the victims from the wreckage, where two adults and a minor were found and subsequently transported to a hospital under critical care, as stated by the Los Angeles Fire Department's alert.
While there has been no official communication regarding what precipitated the car to veer off the road and into the living quarters, the incident has certainly rattled the quiet neighborhood. The teams "were able to quickly remove both adults and a child from the wreckage and transport all three in critical condition," a testament mentioned by LAFD.
