While creators from 17 countries are firing up their engines for a chance at glory, judges are tasked with evaluating each custom build. One winner will eventually join the esteemed ranks in the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends. With previous winners ranging from the aerodynamic 2JetZ™ to the classic 1969 Volvo P1800 Gasser, the competition, as revealed by the official tour website, is fierce.
Potential legends are evaluated on three key principles: authenticity, creativity, and the aforementioned garage spirit. An ever-evolving roster of over 25,000 vehicle models created over the past five decades, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
