
Tracy has been the scene of a grim episode of domestic violence resulting in the death of a 53-year-old man, Wesley Bozek. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Bozek was shot at his home on the 1700 block of Hampshire Lane, as confirmed by the KCRA. He succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital. The Tracy Police Department has made an arrest in relation to the homicide, detaining Bozek's wife, 43-year-old Jean Miranda, on suspicion of murder.
The arrest was made shortly after the incident, and Miranda is faces now charges that include murder and the use of a firearm causing death or great bodily injury. Authorities have disclosed no additional details regarding a possible motive or the circumstances leading to the tragic event. Notwithstanding the arrest, the Tracy Police are continuing the investigation and have requested that anyone with pertinent information reach out to Detective Andrew Glover at 209-831-6607, according to an announcement by ABC10.
Jean Miranda was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail, with the Tracy Police Department urging community members to come forward if they know more about this crime. The department also reiterated that they do not believe there is any further threat to the community following the incident, indicating that this may have been an isolated domestic issue.
