
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident in southwest Charlotte where two individuals were found dead in what is being treated as a murder-suicide. As reported by WBTV officials were called to the 9200 block of Kings Parade Boulevard at around 1:19 p.m. on Friday, September 13th following a distressing report of assault with a deadly weapon. Arriving at the scene, they discovered two people suffered from gunshot wounds, who subsequently were pronounced dead by Medic at the scene.
According to the preliminary findings of the CMPD, relayed by QC News, the investigators believe that one of the deceased was the suspect who committed the murder before taking their own life. The detectives have not identified any additional suspects, indicating a sole actor in this violent affair, found close to South Tryon Street, has inflicted such irrevocable loss.
In light of these events, the CMPD has not released the names of the deceased, as they continue to piece together what precipitated this deadly altercation. The community has been asked to come forward with any information that could be pertinent to the case. In a statement obtained by WBTV, anyone with knowledge about the incident is strongly encouraged to communicate directly with a Homicide Unit detective, with Detective Condron being the lead on this case.
