Tragedy struck on a Texas highway Friday evening as two victims lost their lives in a multi-vehicle accident in Mustang Ridge, a town just southeast of Austin. The incident occurred around 7:43 p.m. on State Highway 21, involving three vehicles, according to KXAN News.
Mustang Ridge Police Department was swift to respond to the scene, where officers and first responders from neighboring agencies, administered immediate aid although, the two individuals involved were pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. In a statement obtained by CBS Austin, the police department expressed their gratitude towards the assisting agencies, which included Travis County Fire, and Caldwell County Fire among others.
While the police have yet to disclose the cause of the tragic accident, they confirmed that the investigation into the collision remains ongoing. Both sources maintained that further details would be shared as the situation develops and the Mustang Ridge Police Department completes its examination of the facts at hand.
