FOX26 Houston reports that the incident, which occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m. on US 90 near the 9700 block, prompted an immediate response from the Sugar Land Fire Department. Emergency crews arrived to find two victims ejected from a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A Honda Pilot driving in the incorrect direction in the westbound lanes was involved in a mishap. Whether the driver was under the influence is still under investigation. "Upon arrival, emergency crews found two people who were immediately pronounced dead at the scene," Click2Houston stated. In the aftermath of the crash, the Sugar Land Police Department has closed all westbound lanes of US 90, forecasting several hours of traffic disruption.
The third victim of the collision, whose condition has not been made public, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for medical treatment. Details pertaining to the individuals involved have yet to be released, and the examination into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
