Two individuals were taken into custody in Baltimore following a late-night armed carjacking incident in the Northwest District. According to a post by the Baltimore Police, on September 7 at around 10:35 p.m., patrol officers received a report of an armed carjacking on the 3400 block of Callaway Avenue.

On September 7, 2024, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3400 block of Callaway Avenue, for a report of an armed carjacking.

A 36-year-old man stopped at a traffic light at Callaway at Liberty Heights was reportedly approached by two armed suspects who demanded that he exit his vehicle. The victim complied, and the suspects took control of the car. Officers were promptly given a description of the perpetrators and the stolen vehicle, which led to quickly locating the suspects on Old York Road at Willow Avenue with the aerial aid of Foxtrot.
The authorities apprehended the suspects, a 54-year-old male and an 18-year-old male. During the arrest, police seized two loaded handguns. According to the Baltimore Police, both suspects have been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they will face charges accordingly.
