
On September 12th, a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Nature Road and Great River Road left locals shaken but with no critical injuries reported. The incident was officially confirmed by the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, which detailed that the accident occurred two miles east of Bowlus, MN in Two Rivers Township.
According to information released by the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Joshua Pogreba of Bowlus was driving southbound on Great River Road when he tragically failed to yield at the stop sign. He struck the vehicle of 35-year-old Rebecca Scholz, who was coming from the east on Nature Road. In the vehicle with Scholz was a 6-year-old juvenile female, who luckily was treated at the scene and promptly released.
Following the collision, multiple local services arrived quickly to assist, including the Royalton Police Department, the Bowlus Fire Department, the Bowlus First Response Team, and the Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The community's speedy response likely helped to quickly and safely resolve the situation without any grave outcomes.
