Residents of Union County might have noticed more than just the severe weather last Friday night, as an electrical glitch in the Stallings water tank caused a minor hiccup in the water management system. According to a statement from the Union County, no lightning struck the water tank, despite the inclement weather contributing to the situation.
The issue led to an overflow of the water, but was quickly contained thanks to the prompt action of Union County Water personnel. Water service for the residents remained uninterrupted during the ordeal and it's business as usual for the water tank now. In the words of the Union County Water Administrator Hyong Yi, "Our team acted swiftly and effectively to ensure the safety and reliability of our water infrastructure."
For those living in or near Stallings, the incident might have caused some alarm, but officials were quick to assuage any concerns. The tank is reported to be back in proper working order and all systems are go.
Hyong Yi assured customers in an official statement by the Union County, "We are committed to maintaining high standards of service for our customers, even in challenging weather conditions late at night."
