
Following a late-night shooting in Vallejo that claimed the life of an adult male victim, local detectives have arrested in the case. The Vallejo Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near Sonoma Boulevard and Louisiana Street on July 24. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim with at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical assistance from officers and, subsequently, paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
During their investigation, Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Detectives identified 32-year-old Patrick Lamont Thompson, also a Vallejo resident, as the suspect. According to the Vallejo Police Department, an arrest warrant was issued for Thompson on a charge of murder. Last Friday, Thompson was spotted by officers from the same division near Sonoma Boulevard and Ohio Street and was arrested without incident. He has since been transported to the Solano County Jail.
The Vallejo Police Department continues to investigate the motive and further details surrounding the shooting. Authorities have been seeking information from the public that could provide additional insights into the case.
