The Detroit Lions roared into the 2024 NFL season with an opening victory, igniting hopes among fans for a standout year. Coincidentally, Ford has capitalized on this upswing of spirits with the release of a limited edition Detroit Lions-themed 2024 F-150 Hybrid. In partnership with the team, Ford has infused the essence of the Lions into 800 specially designed trucks. Making its debut just hours before the team took the field, the new F-150 features the Lions’ logo prominently displayed alongside thematic detailing, as reported by WXYZ.
These vehicles are a testament to Motor City pride, showcasing embroidered Lions logos on the interior and a unique exterior badge for each of the 800 editions. With a design that mirrors the Lions' distinctive Honolulu Blue and silver colors, it's clear that Ford has gone to great lengths to make the trucks stand out. “It's fabulous. It's the perfect combination of power and efficiency because it is in fact a hybrid unit," Metro Detroit Ford Dealer Association Chairman Mark Douglas said, as per CBS News Detroit. Yet amidst the fervor over the truck’s release, fans expressed even greater excitement for the Lions' prospects, with one group confidently proclaiming to CBS News Detroit, "Oh, we’re going all the way. Super Bowl".
Enthusiasm for the limited edition F-150 Hybrids parallels the high expectations for the Lions' season. These trucks were made available exclusively in Southeast Michigan, starting on Monday. According to Ford Regional Sales Manager Caresse Sprague, per CBS News Detroit, "It's a very limited edition. Only 800 were made. We want to represent the Detroit Lions and the partnership we've had with them the past couple of years, and we're just really excited to see them on the road". The release has sparked a buying frenzy among fans and collectors alike, seeking to own a piece of what they hope will be a defining year for the Lions.
