According to Wake Forest's official announcement, residents of the town and those in Raleigh's Wakefield neighborhood will be able to hail a ride from their doorstep to any destination within the service area using the Go Wake Forest app.
Ride scheduling is available both through the newly released app and by calling a dedicated number, with operations running extensive hours throughout the week, except Sundays and select holidays. As part of a thoughtful approach to refining the service, the town will not charge for rides during the pilot program period. This free service denotes an effort to encourage adoption and collect valuable feedback from users. It is important for users of the existing Wake Forest Loop (WFL) Bus Service to note that it will be suspended while the pilot program for Go Wake Forest is in place. Notified by posted alerts, passengers are encouraged to transition to the new service. Meanwhile, the WRX Express route will keep running according to its regular schedule.
