The White Settlement community came together for a splash of competition and camaraderie at the 3rd Annual Rock the Boat event held at Splash on September 7th. With festivities kicking off at 10:00 a.m., attendees were invited to witness a variety of boat-inspired challenges and friendly rivalries among participants according to the White Settlement Fire Department.
One of the day's early draws was the boat inspection, which commenced at 8:00 a.m., ensuring all vessels met safety standards before engaging in the day's waterborne activities. As per the announcements, competitors then vied for accolades in categories such as Best Sink, Best Boat Design, and Best Costume, contributing to an atmosphere of both anticipation and creative flair.
A standout feature that captured attendees' enthusiasm was the "Siren Showdown," a heated competition between the Fire and Police Departments. Each department showcased its ingenuity and spirit through the crafting of creative boats, lending the event a sense of local pride and friendly competition. Families and friends cheered on as the sirens blared and the departments took to the water in a display of communal solidarity.
