A home owned by Greg Locke, a Wilson County pastor, was aggressively fired upon late Tuesday night, resulting in severe damage but miraculously no injuries. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident, which left Locke's residence significantly marred by gunfire, as reported by News Channel 5.
Locke found his house with evidence of a violent attack upon returning home with his family. "according to security cam footage, they pulled into their driveway exactly one minute after a person unloaded an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon into their house, garage and truck," Locke stated in a post, as reported by NewsChannel5. Despite the chaos, it is confirmed that Locke’s son, who was in the house during the incident, was not harmed.
Deputies found 30 to 40 shell casings after responding to the scene around 10:30 p.m., suggesting a barrage of bullets hit the house, garage, and a vehicle. The damage was not constrained to the outside, as the interior of Locke's home also experienced the violent intrusion of the gunfire.
One of the shots, Locke noted, passed through the headboard of his youngest daughter's bed and lodged in her pillow. The family was subsequently taken to a hotel under a security escort. Locke expressed relief and gratitude, citing Psalm 91 and claiming divine protection over his family. This statement was cited by FOX17.
Moreover, the church has caused disruptions through its heavily attended revivals, causing traffic issues within Mt. Juliet, as noted by WSMV. Locke's church had announced a forthcoming relocation before this incident.
The Wilson County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information about this shooting to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
