The sound of alarms broke last night in Windsor as two local youths were apprehended for their alleged involvement in a school burglary and vandalism incident. The Windsor Police Department reported that deputies responded to the burglary alarm at Mattie Washburn School at approximately 11:40 pm last Saturday, discovering two 17-year-old males on the premises, who had apparently removed screens to enter classrooms and discharged fire extinguishers, spewing their contents across the interiors.
According to the Windsor Police Department, the juveniles attempted to flee from law enforcement. Still, one was found hiding among bushes near the school, while the other was later at his residence.
The two teens are now facing substantial legal consequences with charges of felony burglary and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and vandalism laid against them. After being arrested, they were issued citations and released into the custody of their parents.
