A joint operation by local law enforcement in Santa Rosa led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Windsor resident for multiple firearms-related charges. The Santa Rosa Police Department Gang Crimes Team, augmented by the SRPD Narcotics and Downtown Enforcement teams and the Windsor Police Department, executed a search warrant at a home on the 8000 block of Canyon Oak Dr in Windsor.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department's Facebook page, the search yesterday around 3:00 PM uncovered numerous firearms, parts, and tools commonly used in the making of 'ghost guns' unserialized and often untraceable firearms. Found alongside the weapons were hallucinogen drugs, making the scene at the bedroom where they were found seemingly incongruous with the quiet suburban neighborhood.
The suspect, identified as Jason Chester, faces several charges, including possession of a short-barreled rifle, manufacture and possession of an assault weapon, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
