
A multi-car crash occurred yesterday evening in Oklahoma City when a driver entered Memorial Road and N. Pennsylvania Avenue in the wrong direction. The collision involved at least seven other vehicles, as reported by FOX 25.
The driver’s actions led to several people being injured and taken to a nearby hospital, with three in critical condition. The crash, which occurred after 5 p.m. on a busy road is causing traffic delays that are expected to last for hours as the scene remains under investigation, Oklahoma's News 4 noted.
Eight cars were involved in the crash, but the number of people with minor injuries is still unknown. Investigators are still determining the circumstances of the accident, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating why the driver was on the wrong side of the road. While it’s not yet clear if criminal charges will be filed, one injured person was taken to OU Health. The incident has disrupted the city, with effects likely extending beyond tonight, KOCO 5 News reported.
