Yesterday, a 31-year-old man from Youngstown was placed under arrest by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force for charges related to a deadly November 2023 crash that resulted in the death of a 12-year-old boy, as reported by WFMJ. Brandon T. Kennedy, the man apprehended, faces aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault charges.

The unfortunate incident occurred on November 17, 2023, when Kennedy was accused of speeding through a residential zone and disregarding a stop sign at the Juanita and Alameda Avenues intersection, colliding with another vehicle. During this incident, his vehicle struck another car as it passed through. Following the crash, the Youngstown Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest, which led to an immediate fugitive investigation from the authorities, according to Cleveland19.

Following a warrant issued on Monday by the Youngstown Police Department, the fugitive task force swiftly responded and apprehended Kennedy at an address on the 20th block of Broadview Ave in Girard, FOX8 reported.

"Tragically a 12-year-old was an innocent victim in this horrific incident. The first step in the pursuit of justice for that child occurred today when our task force took this fugitive into custody," as U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott remarked in a statement expressing the gravity of the situation and their action against Kennedy, reflecting on the sense of duty to find some measure of justice for the young victim as obtained by WFMJ.
