A stabbing incident that occurred in Cokato Township has resulted in serious injuries and the arrest of a 24-year-old suspect. According to Wright County Minnesota, on the night of October 1, deputies responded to a call at 2717 Nevens AV SW where they found an adult male victim with a life-threatening stab wound to the neck.
The incident, which took place around 9:10 PM, escalated to the point where the victim had to be rushed to the Cokato Fire Department and then airlifted to North Memorial Hospital deputies were able to gather statements from witnesses and collect evidence at the scene, which led them to identify Julian Hill, a resident of Cokato, as the assailant, as per Wright County Minnesota. Hill was subsequently located by law enforcement and taken into custody without further incident.
Hill is now facing charges of 2nd-degree assault and for breaching a previously issued court order of protection. He was booked into Wright County Jail and currently awaits formal charges to be filed by the Wright County Attorney’s Office, as noted in case number 24027443. The condition of the victim has not been disclosed as of yet, and the investigation continues to unfold as authorities piece together the circumstances of the altercation.
