
Gunfire disrupted the relative calm of Sandtown-Winchester in West Baltimore last night, resulting in a 24-year-old man sustaining gunshot wounds. According to the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Police officers, located within proximity of the 1700 block of North Calhoun Street, responded to the sound of gunshots at around 5:26 p.m. Their search led them to the 1700 block of North Mount Street, where they found a young man lying injured from the gunfire.
The police were quick to administer life-saving measures on the scene before the arrival of EMS personnel, who subsequently transported the victim to a hospital for further treatment. Detectives at the Western District actively seek tips and encourage anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2477.
