The popular Sip N Stroll event returns to the Ark by Norris event center on November 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In its 28th year, Katy’s preeminent gastronomic festival will serve up unlimited food and drinks with tickets starting at $75 for general admission and a premium VIP option at $110, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
The day to indulge in Katy’s food scene while aiding a good cause is not far off, set to pack in over 35 food-tasting stations and a plethora of wine, craft beer, and spirits offerings—300 to be exact, as well as live music performances, per the Houston Food Finder. Attendees will be treated to a show of lights under the "Light up the Night" theme, with a neon glowing atmosphere complementing an eclectic mix of bubbly wines, including those from Freixenet Mionetto.
One of the defining aspects of Katy Sip N Stroll is the focus on the visitor experience, with Event Coordinator Constance McDerby asserting, "You don’t have to stand in long lines to make the most of everything. We have lots of vendors, plenty of tables and just a really great experience that doesn’t require waiting around," as she told the Houston Chronicle. An all-inclusive ticket means guests can enjoy unlimited samplings, encouraging the exploration of new flavors without additional costs.
Furthermore, a competitive undercurrent will run through the event with the Premier Culinary Awards, courtesy of Goya Foods, putting the spotlight on participating local restaurants vying for the evening's "best bite," with past winners like Phat Eatery taking the top honors—this year, the Houston Food Finder reported. And for automobile enthusiasts or those just appreciating a good ride, BMW of West Houston will showcase some of their latest models.
All proceeds from raffles and auctions during the Sip N Stroll event are dedicated to Christ Clinic, a Katy-based charity providing essential medical services to the uninsured and underinsured communities.
