An 82-year-old woman has succumbed to injuries after being struck by a motorcycle yesterday evening in Perry County. The incident was first reported by WBNS, which stated that the crash occurred around 5 p.m. on state Route 93 near milepost 21 in Harrison Township.
According to FOX28, the victim was identified as Ella Ebert of Crooksville. A 2008 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 21-year-old Dakota P. Eyman of Corning, collided with Ebert. Eyman was transported to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, where he was treated for minor injuries sustained in the collision.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances of the accident. As reported by NBC4i, no charges have been filed this morning. The motorcyclist is expected to survive his injuries.
After the collision, Ebert was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where she was later pronounced dead.
