After a start-and-stop beginning in 2016, Northcutt sealed her commitment to her career in 2022, and by May 2024, she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, surrounded by peers who had become like family to her.
Northcutt cites the ACC dental hygiene program as one of the most challenging adventures in her life. Post-graduation, Northcutt's real-world application is already in motion. She is working as a full-time temporary hygienist at several dental offices in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Austin, and Marble Falls. Additionally, with her education behind her, she is planning her wedding and looking forward to the next chapter in her life. Her educational choice granted her not only a degree but also financial relief. "ACC helped me get here. It was the right choice because it gave me financial relief. While I still faced normal student financial responsibilities, I felt I could attain what I needed without worrying about taking out loans," Northcutt reflected in the ACC Newsroom article.
