On Saturday, local law enforcement officials swiftly responded to reports of a stolen vehicle in the neighborhood of Skygaze Street. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, a deputy from the team spotted the vehicle in question, which led to the discovery and subsequent pursuit of a female suspect.
The officer, in a brief chase, managed to apprehend the suspect after she attempted to make a getaway on foot. She has been identified as Alexis Richard, and, it appears that her encounter with the deputies resulted in more than just the recovery of a stolen car. She was also found to be in possession of the vehicle owner’s wallet, and, an open warrant for Aggregate Theft charged her hands with more than just the steering wheel of an illicit ride.
Richard's rap sheet grew longer after this incident. “Alexis Richard was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading, Fraudulent Use of ID, and the warrant. She is awaiting bond out of the 180th District Court and County Court 13,” Constable Herman outlined the charges in a Facebook post.
