
Baltimore County Police Department detectives are piecing together the events that led to a double shooting on Thursday evening near the intersection of Deer Park and Wards Chapel roads. A public announcement provided by the Baltimore County Police detailed that the shooting unfolded shortly after a woman and her 2-year-old son were leaving the father's vicinity following a custody exchange. It's reported that the father then pursued and forced their vehicle to stop.
According to the police statement, the suspect approached the victim's car and fired multiple shots into it, striking both the mother and her child. Fortunately, both victims have been transported to an area hospital and are stable. The statement also revealed that the suspect was later found in his residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
