A public announcement provided by the Baltimore County Police detailed that the shooting unfolded shortly after a woman and her 2-year-old son were leaving the father's vicinity following a custody exchange. It's reported that the father then pursued and forced their vehicle to stop.
According to the police statement, the suspect approached the victim's car and fired multiple shots into it, striking both the mother and her child.
