Authorities have apprehended two suspects in connection to a violent carjacking incident that took place in late August. According to Baltimore County Police, nineteen-year-old Darius Wolfe and an 18-year-old male, whose name has not been released, are facing serious charges after being arrested by the department's dedicated Carjacking Team. The crime occurred on the 8200 block of Brattle Rd, 21208, and detectives have been working the case since it was reported at approximately 10:10 p.m. on August 21.
A critical but stable condition was the state of one victim, who was transported to an area hospital after being struck by the vehicle as it was fleeing the scene. The second victim, attempting to assist, sustained injuries that were non-life threatening. This violent act escalated when witnesses say the suspects brandished firearms before ultimately seizing the car and injuring the victims.
Both Wolfe and the unnamed juvenile have been charged with armed carjacking, first-degree assault, and other firearms-related charges as the police pursue a stringent response to the recent uptick in carjacking incidents. While the police have made these two arrests, their investigation is far from over. Ongoing efforts are in place to determine if these individuals are connected to other carjacking cases.
