A 45-year-old Baltimore man, identified as Dontay Maurice Fitzgerald, has been arrested following his alleged involvement in a deadly shooting that occurred last month at Arundel Mills Mall, an Anne Arundel County destination. According to FOX Baltimore, Fitzgerald was apprehended today in connection with the homicide of a 31-year-old man from Harlem, New York.
Prompted by a shooting report, police rushed to the scene near the mall's movie theater complex on September 13 around 9:30 p.m. Following their arrival, officers directed to the rear parking lot discovered Yant Junior Gomez, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Despite immediate lifesaving attempts by responders, Gomez succumbed to his injuries while in transit to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. As discovered by the police, Fitzgerald was arrested and charged for the alleged targeted event in a shooting that happened just last month.
