
A Baltimore City man, identified as Andre Williams, age 33, is currently being held without bond on felony charges in connection with an armed road rage shooting incident. According to the Maryland Department of State Police, the shooting occurred in Anne Arundel County, stirring concerns about the prevalence of gun violence and road rage in the community. Williams was taken into custody from his Baltimore home after a search warrant led to the recovery of a loaded handgun.
The altercation happened near southbound Maryland 295 on Sunday when a fellow motorist, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported being shot at during a dispute with Williams. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officials noted evidence of gun discharge on the complainant's vehicle. Officers from the Glen Burnie Barrack were alerted to the incident around 10:30 p.m., which snowballed into a full-fledged investigation. The Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division crime scene technicians later recovered a projectile.
According to the charges documented by the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office, Williams now faces attempted murder and the use of a gun in the commission of a felony, among other related offenses.
