
The Boston Police Department's District B-2 is reaching out to the Roxbury community and surrounding areas for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent break-in. This incident occurred shortly after midnight on September 6, near 13 Shetland Street. According to a community alert from the BPD, the suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, with a stocky build and a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, a black North Face jacket, blue jeans, and white and black sneakers.
According to the community alert, the suspect's initial act involved stealing a bicycle from inside the targeted building. He is then believed to have returned to the same location to take additional items, a claim supported by video evidence. Notably, the suspect is reported to have arrived from and retreated back toward the area of Massachusetts Avenue.
The Boston Police Department is investigating the details of these events and is asking anyone with information that could assist in identifying the individual to come forward. Informants can contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.
