A 39-year-old Camarillo man, Jorden Adams, along with a juvenile, was taken into custody by Ventura County Sheriff’s officials on weapons-related offenses, including the manufacture and possession of illegal firearms. KTLA reports that the arrests followed an investigation after authorities were tipped off in August about a juvenile possessing a firearm in the city.

The Sheriff's office revealed that Adams, a convicted felon, was barred from owning firearms but was implicated in assisting the minor in obtaining and illegally possessing the gun. According to the Nixle release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday, deputies arrested the juvenile and subsequently served a search warrant at Adams' residence on Arabian Place.

Investigators found an extensive cache of weapons including five rifles, four pistols, two shotguns, and high-capacity magazines, plus hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Among the firearms discovered, three rifles were identified as "short-barreled rifles" with features classifying them as "assault weapons." The report also mentions that one of the shotguns seized had a barrel length of less than 18 inches, thus classifying it as a "short-barreled shotgun."

The search further uncovered ghost guns, firearms without serial numbers, and equipment commonly used in the illegal manufacture of weapons. Tools and materials for making explosives, and even a pair of brass knuckles, were also found on the premises. Adams now faces numerous charges, including possession of explosives, assault weapon manufacturing, and firearms possession by a felon. After the search, he was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility, as stated in the sheriff's office's news release dated October 23.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance.
