Early last Friday, Campbell Police Department officers were called to the burglary scene at Public Storage on Curtner Ave. The City of Campbell Police Department detailed the incident in a post on social media, reporting that the site, which burglars have repeatedly targeted, has once again fallen prey.

The officers arrived around 1:37 AM after being alerted to a potential break-in. They discovered evidence of forced entry, with three backpacks full of knives and burglary tools found on the roof and a portion of the aluminum ceiling conspicuously cut open. In an unexpected turn, the suspect—identified as 47-year-old transient Frank Bazan—leaped from the roof to elude capture but did not escape.

Responding units quickly established a perimeter with assistance from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department. Subsequently, Bazan was located hiding in a nearby port-a-potty, where he was taken into custody "without further incident," according to the official CPD statement.

Bazan now faces numerous charges, including burglary, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, violation of the terms of previous community supervision, and possession of prohibited weapons as a felon. His record is not without precedent as with a past marked by burglary and robbery, controlled substance offenses, and possession of stolen property, Bazan is no stranger to the inside of a jail cell. As of the publication of the social media post yesterday, Bazan remains in custody.
