A double shooting in Canton has resulted in the death of an 18-year-old male and left a 19-year-old female injured on Tuesday evening, stirring the community with another instance of gun-related violence this year. Canton police were dispatched to the intersection of 10th Street NW and High Avenue NW at approximately 8:20 p.m., as reported by Cleveland19. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered the woman suffering from gunshot wounds, and she was swiftly taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, where she currently remains in stable condition.
Subsequently, while police were still attending, the first victim, Rajhion Davis, the second gunshot victim, arrived at the same hospital. Suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, the 18-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after. As it was mentioned by News 5 Cleveland, this incident marks the city's second gun-related homicide in 2024, signaling a troubling trend in the area's safety and security.
