Popular Austin cheese cafe Spread & Co. has made a comeback at a new location in Cherrywood, after shuttering its original spot in Rosedale earlier this year. The artisanal cheese and coffee shop took over the space previously filled by Lola’s Donuts at 2406 Manor Road, Suite B, as confirmed by Eater Austin. The venue reopened its doors on October 15, promising a cozy ambiance paired with a refined focus on cheeses and house-made foods.
The new Spread & Co. is not just another cafe; it is a cornucopia for cheese lovers, boasting daytime foods like sandwiches, tartines, and a variety of grilled cheeses. The establishment offers up platters of cheese and charcuterie, as well as tinned fish, while to-go foods such as hand-wrapped cheeses, jams, and spreads ensure that patrons can enjoy a slice of Spread & Co. from the comfort of their homes. Nestled between Cajun restaurant Vic and Al’s and New Texan restaurant Dai Due, the new outpost in Cherrywood extends its kitchen operations daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., while takeout is available through to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A satellite location at The Contemporary Austin - Laguna Gloria continues to serve its clientele with unchanged business hours and menu offerings. The Laguna Gloria spot has garnered appreciation for its diverse menu, which includes dishes ranging from Turkish eggs to assorted grilled cheeses with prices spanning $2.50 to $14, MySA reported.
