Chicago's weather for the coming days appears to be a calm affair, at least according to the latest forecasts. The National Weather Service predicts today to bask under sunny skies with high temperatures reaching nearly 75 degrees, the southwest winds taking a turn in the afternoon to become east-northeast with possible gusts up to 15 mph. An isolated chance of showers looms over the early hours of tomorrow, introducing a 20% chance of precipitation and cooler night temps around 60 degrees.
The forecast for Friday isn't quite as clear, scattered showers are anticipated mainly between the early morning hours of 7:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. The skies should then clear up, reaching a high near 69 with gusty north-northeast wind that could spike up to 25 mph, as per the detailed forecast by the National Weather Service. The following night looks to be mostly clear with a low around 56 degrees. Meanwhile, the area's pleasant weather trend continues through next week, showcasing a series of sunny days and clear nights; temperatures are expected to fluctuate within the mid-to-upper 60s for the highs, while overnight lows gently resting in the low-to-mid 50s.
In a bulletin specific to hazardous weather, the National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville has not indicated any hazardous conditions for today and tonight. However, they have pointed out an elevated fire weather risk by Sunday, concurrently, late-night mariners should be wary as hazardous conditions for small craft are projected starting late tonight and likely continue intermittently through Monday.
This weekend, the region north of I-80 could see some showers and thunderstorms after 1:00 A.M. Saturday, with a 30 percent chance of this wet interlude amid a mostly clear night. However, it seems to be a brief disruption in what has been described as rather pleasant weather continuing in the area by numerous reports like one from NWS Chicago, substantial rainfall is not anticipated through these episodes. Easing into next week, Monday greets us with continued sunny skies and highs oscillating just around a comfortable 66 degrees.
Pleasant weather will continue across the area for the next several days. The only threat of any rain will be late tonight into Friday morning, then again Saturday night north of I-80. Significant rainfall is not anticipated, however. ILwx INwx pic.twitter.com/uzWWyfvEqn
