As the city recovers from the throes of the recent hurricane, residents can take solace in the resumption of regular solid waste collection. Beginning today, trash services will return to normal, picking up trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulky items as scheduled before the storms hit.
The City of Winter Garden has announced, "All storm debris recovery pickup is complete," signaling a significant milestone in the cleanup efforts. In a push towards normalcy, however, community members are advised to manage the remnants of the natural ordeal. This includes picking up minor sticks, branches, and leaves that were left curbside. The city instructs residents to place these smaller debris items in bags on their yard waste pickup day, or, to dispose of them in their regular trash cans.
In accordance with the statement, the local authorities thank residents for their part in the collective effort to restore their neighborhoods to the state they were in before the hurricane's wrath. It's a community binding itself back together, one curbside disposal at a time, though, the journey to complete restoration may still be long for many.
